Terror funding case: NIA raids 11 places in J&K, NCR

The duo which has been accused also of mobilising support against security personnel through the social media, was on Wednesday sent to 10-day NIA custody for interrogation by a Delhi court.
In its FIR, the NIA mentioned that Hafiz Saeed and separatist leaders, including members of the Hurriyat Conference, have been acting in connivance with active militants of proscribed terrorist organisations Let, HM, Dukhtaran-e-Millat and other terrorist organisations for raising, receiving and collecting funds domestically and overseas through various illegal channels for funding terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
When asked whether the raids would continue, he said, "no comments".
Senior Hurriyat leader Shabbir Shah's aide Zameer Thakur's house was also raided by NIA.
The NIA conducted raids at 12 places in the Valley and at one place in Jammu city. "During searches, fixed deposits worth over Rs 1 crore, and lots of incriminating material, suspect financial records, property-related documents and electronic devices have been seized", the spokesman said.
The raids are being conducted also at various locations in Srinagar and frontier district of Kupwara.
On Wednesday, the agency had raided 24 places in the Kashmir Valley and in Delhi focusing mainly on traders, who allegedly have links with the case presently under probe by the NIA.
Malik was arrested from his Abi Guzar office in Srinagar and moved to the Central Jail, where he will be kept until September 11, as per reports. He was later taken to a nearby police station. "They had planned a secret meeting and to foil that we arrested Malik and placed Mirwaiz and Geelani under house arrest".
Hardline senior separatist leader, Syed Ali Geelani continues to be under house arrest in his uptown Hyderpora residence.
