Gear up Apple expected to unveil next generation of iPhones on September 12
01 September, 2017, 01:58
The tech giant Apple is gearing up for yet another highly anticipated smartphone launch on September 12 this year with its latest iPhone 8. As the invite notes, this will be the first-ever event to be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park at the new Cupertino campus. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the original iPhone, so Apple could potentially name this version the iPhone 8, iPhone X, iPhone 10 or. just iPhone. The company may release a third-generation Apple Watch with standalone LTE connectivity, meaning it could receive updates and alerts without having its paired iPhone nearby.
Applewill livestream the announcement on September 12 starting at 1 p.m. EST. But we'll wait and see on that one... Whatever it ends up being called, it seems certain the new iPhone will be significantly different to Apple's current handsets.
As rumoured, Apple will take on Samsung's flagship with an edge-to-edge bezel-less display.
On another note, the new iPhone is also expected to have a much higher price tag, even as compared to its price line. Having made a decision to give the last iPhones, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, a smaller-than-expected makeover, the pressure is on to deliver something spectacular with the next models. The front-facing camera may have facial recognition software that unlocks the handset at the sight of your face, along with an infrared sensor that makes this process easier in low-light conditions. That choice will likely spur speculation that Apple's new phone will feature a screen with organic light-emitting diode, or OLED, which will display more vivid colors than previous models. This was first seen on the iPhone 4.
