Nice August weather and an improving weekend forecast

The weekend will bring a bit more sunshine but still the threat of afternoon storms. We started the day with mild temperatures with all locations reporting lows in the middle to upper 60s. Calm wind becoming south southeast around 5 miles per hour. Rain chances will fall to 10%.

SUNDAY: Partly cloudy and hot with a 30% chance for scattered thunderstorms.Low: 77. Highs will reach the low to mid 80s this afternoon with light SE winds. Southwest wind around 9 miles per hour. Showers and thunderstorms were already soaking central Kansas on Wednesday.

Friday will be another summer beauty with partly cloudy skies and low humidity.
