Hackers reportedly leaked unreleased episodes of popular HBO shows

HBO's chief said on Wednesday that the company is conducting a forensic review of its computer systems to better understand the scope of a cyber attack that surfaced over the weekend.

HBO acknowledged on Monday that it had been victimised by a cyberattack, after an anonymous hacker boasted about leaking full episodes of upcoming shows like Ballers along with written material from next week's episode of Game of Thrones.

HBO, a unit of Time Warner Inc., declined to elaborate on what was stolen and whether the theft also included sensitive employee data.

Some reports have seized on the amount of data stolen to claim that the HBO hack was seven times bigger, or possibly worse, than the Sony hack.

Apple leak confirms 'iPhone 8' face unlock
According to the reports that were coming, Apple was planning to include an infrared camera for scanning the face of users. Included in the code is also a picture of an iPhone prototype which doesn't have any bezel or the Touch ID button.

HBO's "Game of Thrones" episodes have always been among the most coveted treasures for hackers. At first, the network downplayed the hack, saying that not much was stolen and suggesting that the hack was not a critical breach of security.

"As most of you have probably heard by now, there has been a cyber incident directed at the company which has resulted in some stolen proprietary information, including some of our programming", wrote HBO chairman Richard Plepler. The greatest leak of cyber space era is happening. The ittle.finger66 hackers do not appear to have acquired any episodes of Game of Thrones, although they did get their hands on at least one script. What's its name? Oh I forget to tell. A spokesperson said the firm is working with law enforcement and outside cybersecurity companies to investigate the hack.

Since news of the hack broke, the perpetrators announced that they breached critical parts of HBO's network infrastructure. In April 2015, the first four episodes of Game of Thrones season five were leaked, spoiling the provider's plan for simultaneous premiere access across 170 countries. Whoever spreads well, we will have an interview with him. "Data protection is a top priority at HBO, and we take seriously our responsibility to protect the data we hold", HBO said in a statement. For instance, when hackers accessed unreleased episodes of "Orange is the New Black", through a third-party production company, hackers claimed Netflix did not pay their ransom demand and they subsequently published the episodes online.
