The father of a 5-year-old California boy who has been missing for over two months was arrested Friday on suspicion of murder. It was not immediately clear Monday what prompted his re-arrest.
Aramazd Andressian Sr. lawyered up not long after his son disappeared, and within a week of the child going missing, he released a statement through that attorney in an attempt to explain what had happened on April 22. The boy was spending the week with his dad.
After the report was made on April 22police found the father that same day in hospital.
The same day the child was reported missing, Andressian Sr., was found unconscious near his vehicle, which was parked at the Arroyo Seco Park in South Pasadena. He had "several minor injuries".
Sheriff's investigators said they would provide more details about the case at a press conference on Monday.

The boy is still missing and the search has now crossed county and state lines.
Metro Police have arrested a suspect accused of killing his son in southern California.
Prosecutors last week filed one count of murder against Andressian, who is scheduled to be arraigned in Los Angeles later this week.
"My heart is shattered, and I will miss my son immensely each and every second of every day for the rest of my life", Ana Estevez's statement said.

"To my son, this message is for you my love: be fearless, honey", Ana Estevez said through tears on May 18. "I will never stop looking for you".
