Back-to-back 68s lift Aditi to 14th on LPGA

Brooke Henderson wins LPGA title Back-to-back 68s lift Aditi to 14th on LPGA

Brooke Henderson bogeyed the final two holes for a 4-under 67 on Friday, but the 19-year-old golf star from Smiths Falls still left the course with a two-stroke lead in the Meijer LPGA Classic.

Thompson, who has shown wonderful resilience to bounce back from the heartache and controversy surrounding the four shot penalty she incurred during the final round of the ANA Inspiration, completed a round of 64 to come from two off the 36 hole pace to take the lead into the final round.

Henderson birdied Nos. 12 and 13 and closed with five pars.

"My irons were really good", the South African player said.

Thompson is chasing a 9th LPGA Tour title at the age of just 22 but having won and finished runner-up in two of her four starts since the debacle at Mission Hills she appears to have put the memory of that well and truly in the back of her mind.

Thompson endured a two-hour rain delay to shoot a 5-under-par 64 and take a one-stroke lead over four players at Blythefield Country Club in Grand Rapids, Mich.

"Two bogeys to finish, but that just gives me a little more motivation going into tomorrow".

He insisted Qatar's position is not directly to support Hamas as such, but to support the Palestinian people in general. The new flights have increased Iranian air traffic by 17 per cent, the official state news agency has reported .

Pace had two eagles and five birdies.

"It was just a matter of staying patient", Thompson said of her key for Saturday.

"It has been a little bit of a rough season so far, you know, not getting the results that I've been looking for", Henderson said after the round in the tournament media room. "I'm just excited. It was a good week for me here previous year so I have great memories".

"I was surprised when I looked at the leaderboard and had a two-shot lead on the 18th green but I'm super happy", Henderson said.

Moriya, the sister of world No. 1 Ariya Jutanugarn, is alone in fifth at nine-under 133, three shots back of Henderson.

But the new world No.1 has had a slow start in MI, carding back-to-back rounds of two-under 69 to share 30th place with 11 others. Lydia Ko, at No. 2 after an 85-week run at the top, was at six under after a 71.
