The white supremacist who was accused of fatally stabbing two men and wounding another man on a Portland train had been implicated in a racist attack even before Friday night's assault.

He was arraigned on several charges, including two counts of aggravated murder, attempted murder, two counts of second-degree intimidation and being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon, police say. Wheeler urged organizers to cancel a "Trump Free Speech Rally" at a downtown park in Portland next weekend, saying they are inappropriate and could be unsafe because he fears they will attract right-wing protesters.

Get stabbed in your neck if you hate free speech. That's what liberalism gets you.

As people outside the courtroom began to shout, deputies led Christian away through the secure back door. It wasn't clear if he said something to draw Christian's attention, but he stood up as Christian began shouting at him.

If you want to know what hate looks like, Portland police said look no further than the face of the suspect in Friday's deadly train attack. Death to Antifa. You call it terrorism, I call it patriotism, you hear me? "You hear me? Die".

As Christian walked into the courtroom he yelled out: "Free speech or die, Portland!".

Fletcher called the two men who died - identified by police as Taliesin Myrddin Namkai-Meche, 23, and Ricky John Best, 53 - "true heroes" whom the "entire city of Portland" is in mourning for.

She and her family visited Micah Fletcher, one of the three men who intervened when a man was insulting Destinee and her friend, a Muslim wearing a hijab, while they were riding a train in Portland, Oregon, last week. As Jeremy Joseph Christian continued his menacing rant, the three men stepped forward because their sense of community, humanity and courage demanded it. Fletcher was stabbed first in the neck then Namkai-Meche was stabbed twice, also in the neck.

Earlier Tuesday, the 21-year-old poet and student released a statement, ABC News reported.

Authorities say Christian started verbally abusing two young women, including one wearing a hijab. Christian then stabs both men, according to the affidavit, who died of their wounds. And reportedly his last words according to one witness were, tell everybody on this train that I love them.

According to court documents, Christian was drinking sangria and shouting at the girls and other people on the train.

"This is about them, that they are the real victims here as well", Fletcher said in the six-minute video, in which he encouraged supporters to donate to an online fundraising page for the two girls.

In the video, Fletcher thanked people for the money donated to him for medical expenses while also addressing the major issue he has with the aftermath of this incident.

The teens moved toward the back of the train, preparing to get off at the next stop.
