Correa sustained the injury after being hit by a pitch in Saturday's game against the Oakland Athletics.

He had been expected to play Monday, but after taking pregame swings it was determined Correa was not ready to go.

Alex Bregman has started both games at short against the Los Angeles Angels in Correa's absence.

"You are always pleased anytime you get an opportunity to help the team win".

"Any time there's a close game, there's a little more pressure, but those are the types of games we like to play in", Bregman said.

The Astros (9-5) had their five-game winning streak snapped despite first baseman Yuli Gurriel and center fielder George Springer belting home runs in the third inning. Musgrove threw a fat slider right into Pujols' wheelhouse, who promptly distributed the ball over the Crawford Boxes.

Instead of facing Pujols with two outs and one runner on, Musgrove surrendered the three-run blast on an 0-1 inside fastball that Pujols parked just inside the left-field foul pole.
