"We regularly evaluate our media buys to ensure alignment with our corporate values, and in light of the recent allegations we have made a decision to pull our upcoming ads from The O'Reilly Factor", T. Rowe Price said in a statement reported by The Daily Beast.

In a statement, Hyundai said it wanted to work with companies that "share our values of inclusion and diversity".

A cascade of companies announced they were withdrawing advertisements from his show, including Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, BMW and GlaxoSmithKline.

It is not clear how the exodus of advertisers from O'Reilly's show will affect the income of Fox News as a whole.

"We had advertising running on "The O'Reilly Factor" (we run on most major cable news shows) and it has been reassigned in the midst of this controversy", Donna Boland, a spokeswoman for Mercedes-Benz USA, said in a statement Monday, via Ad Age.

Fox News did not immediately respond to requests for comment Tuesday, but 21st Century Fox told The Times that O'Reilly "denies the merits of these claims". It's also led to several lawsuits, including one filed Monday by Fox News contributor Julie Roginsky against Ailes and current Fox News co-president Bill Shine. "In effect, they are paying for The O'Reilly Factor to stay on the air, and paying to settle the lawsuits against him", explained Nicole Carty, campaigner at SumOfUs.

On the other hand, Allstate expressed concerned about the issues surrounding The O'Reilly Factor and pointed out that "inclusivity and support for women" are important values for the company.

This time around, while Fox continues to figure out how to "leverage O'Reilly's behavior", advertisers are decidedly not prepared to wait and see, and are dropping him like a bad habit instead.

Fox News has reportedly renewed its contract with O'Reilly, despite the claims.

MileIQ, in a response to ThinkProgress, noted that while they are taking the matter "very seriously", some prebooked ads might appear on O'Reilly's program as they wait for the cancellation to take effect.

Bill O'Reilly, the host of Fox News' "The O'Reilly Factor" has been making controversial statements for years. The organization has also called on O'Reilly to be fired.

Lingering controversies could put Fox News at a disadvantage when it comes time to negotiate new carriage deals with cable and satellite companies, the main source of its revenue. According to the Times, Fox News's parent company was aware of the sexual harassment suits and settlements and "structured [O'Reilly's new] deal to include more leverage over his behavior".
