Samsung Galaxy S8 is Gaining Popularity

Samsung Galaxy S8 WON'T ship with Bixby voice assistant One of the Galaxy S8's Biggest Features Won't Be Ready for Launch
Javier Burns | 14 April, 2017, 19:00

The new devices will launch in the United Kingdom on 28 April, but some had expressed concern the company would struggle to shift units after the notorious Note 7 disaster, which saw some of the company's phablets overheating and exploding, prompting a full product recall. However, Samsung has been consistently producing new models to retain the market.

Tech Crunch reports that the Bixby voice assistant will only be available until "later this spring". The Korean-language version of Bixby will have all of its features at launch, the Journal report said.

The Galaxy S8 and S8+ are scheduled to hit shelves in the US and some other markets from April 21. While the voice control feature will experience a bit of delay, the rest of the Bixby will be available upon release. The company has sought to surmount the shortcomings of current digital assistants by extending Bixby's capabilities. But, this is the first time that Samsung has attempted to use this technology.

Boston Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles
O'Day relieved in the sloppy seventh and had his second straight rough outing, this one hurt when J.J. Hardy booted a routine double play ball.

Bixby is Samsung's answer to Amazon's Alexa and Apple's Siri, a voice-powered assistant created to handle many aspects of your life, from reminding you what to buy at the grocery store to turning on your phone's wireless hotspot.

Considering how much praise has been heaped on the Galaxy S7 Edge in the last year, and the fact it continued to be the primary Galaxy flagship for an entire year following the Note 7 recall, it's kind of sobering to know that even after all that, nearly three times more people have an S5 by their side. Some industry analysts view it optimistically, considering an attempt to disrupt the digital assistant market a bold move by Samsung. Right from Bezel-less design to Bixby joined by other vivid features, Samsung has mentioned it all in the advertisements.

In other related news, the Samsung DeX Station is now available for pre-order on the online shopping website Amazon, as well as on Samsung's official website. "Samsung's delay in the roll-out of Bixby is a strong indication of just how far behind Samsung is when it comes to artificial intelligence". In doing so, it becomes more similar to its Californian rival, evolving beyond hardware to offer its own innovative companion apps.
