In a nutshell, the ad features Kendall Jenner storming out of a photo shoot and joining up with a seemingly generic protest on the street. And 32 percent of Americans said the ad made them more likely to buy Pepsi products, versus 20 percent who were less likely.

One of the main criticisms leveraged towards Pepsi's cataclysmic and immediately pulled Kendall Jenner ad is that, despite all its talk of protest and unity, it never actually stood for anything other than soda sales in an attempt to hold a mirror to a desired target audience.

Furthermore, given that the world sees Kendall as a glamorous, sophisticated and jet-setting woman, the source claims that this must have been a very painful and embarrassing moment for her. To get a Pepsi gig was a big deal. In fact, Madonna herself was the victim of Pepsi pulling a 1989 commercial featuring the "Material Girl" singer almost 30 years ago after the controversy surrounding the "Like A Prayer" music video. It ends on the Pepsi logo and the tagline "Water is life".

Trump Today: President cites 'tremendous progress' with China's Xi
Trump has yet to spell out a strategy for what his advisers called a trade relationship based on "the principle of reciprocity". At the end of the summit Friday, Xi departed Florida for a more northern vista, landing in Alaska and requesting time with Gov.

After Pepsi's latest commercial has received so many negative reactions, Kendall Jenner was recently reported to be traumatized over the backlash that she has also received.

Pepsi even canceled Madonna's endorsement deal to make sure people didn't view Madonna's own clips as part of the Pepsi marketing strategy.

Joseph von Meding, filmmaker at ThirtyRev, told Business Insider the Pepsi ad didn't bring out an emotional response, which a protest video should. But, the commercial completely missed the mark and backfired into an insulting trivialization of protests and risks people of color take to stand up for themselves. Even Martin Luther King, Jr.'s daughter lambasted the soft-drink company for the ad. Madonna vs Kendall Jenner.
