Lawyer tapped for Education role helped Trump campaign attack Clinton

Lawyer who highlighted Hillary Clinton's role in defending rape suspect tapped for key federal civil rights post Trump: Did Clinton 'ever apologize for receiving the answers to the debate?'

The day before a March 6 debate, Brazile sent a heads-up to Clinton's aides about a question "from a woman with a rash" whose families contracted lead poisoning from the water in Flint, Michigan.

In a follow-up tweet, he asked: "Did Hillary Clinton ever apologise for receiving the answers to the debate?"

And there's no debating that the incident occurred, as Brazile admitted as much in a Times op-ed, where she said it was "a mistake I will forever regret".

"Nobody mentions that Hillary received the questions to the debates", Trump said earlier this year while pushing back against questions about possible ties between his campaign and Russian Federation. On Monday, Trump went on a freaky Twitter rant, attacking his former opponent. "Can you imagine - seriously can you imagine if I received the questions?".

The president early Monday also questioned whether "the brother of John Podesta paid big money to get the sanctions on Russian Federation lifted". "It would be the electric chair, OK?"

Federer appeared poised to cruise to victory after such a dominant set, but Berdych was undeterred by his slow start. Berdych, however, flinched and couldn't close out the Swiss, who has reached his first Miami semifinal in six years.

And Nick Merrill, who was Clinton's campaign spokesman, recently cast Trump's Twitter fixation on Clinton as an existential dilemma, asking Trump in a tweet: "Don't you have 300 million constituents to serve?"

Trump commented on the matter several weeks ago at a press conference when asked about alleged connections between his campaign and the Russian government.

According to a report, Tony Podesta received $170,000 over a six-month span past year for representing Russia's largest bank, Sberbank, which sought to have economic sanctions against the country lifted.

He has continued to push back against reports on his campaign's ties to Russian Federation.

The tweet comes after the president said Sunday that "the real story turns out to be surveillance and leaking".
