Hello to Marriage? Adele Thanks 'Husband' at Grammys

Madeline Patrick | 14 February, 2017, 00:57

Despite referring to Konecki as her "partner" while answering questions from reporters in the backstage press room, many have taken her slip-of-the-tongue to mean that the London-born singer has in fact already married Konecki in a very private ceremony.

As she concluded her tearful and modest speech, she said, "Grammys, I appreciate it".

Reports earlier this month suggested Adele and Konecki had married after she was seen with a gold band on her ring finger.

Things had got off to a good start for Adele, 28, when she opened the show with a ideal rendition of Hello, a tune that she was awarded three prizes for.

The singer went on an emotional rollercoaster at the event in Los Angeles which saw her tearfully REFUSE to accept one of her gongs, stop a performance midway - oh, and seem to reveal that she's actually MARRIED. "He's not threatened by any stage of my life that I'm going for, and that's an fantastic thing".

Their relationships with fans couldn't be much more different (Bey puts it all out there; Adele guards her privacy as best she can).

The "Hello" singer also gushed over Beyoncé, who mouthed "I love you" in return.

'I can't possibly accept this award, ' the star sobbed. "And I'm very humbled and I'm very grateful and gracious, but my artist of my life is Beyoncé and this album to me, the "Lemonade" album, was just so monumental, Beyoncé. You are our light!"

The couple, who have four-year-old son Angelo together, were rumoured to have got engaged last October.

"Thank you to my manager because the comeback, as it were, was completely masterminded by him. But I love you like I would love my dad". The Academy, I love you.

"Being in such an fantastic relationship with someone that's so there for me and so loyal is really part of my core now, that's what made me write about everything I've ever done, because I've got his love", she said. "I love you like I would love my dad".
